Hey this is my first game :b, I've always loved romance horror games so I played around with renpy a little to make this. If I continue this I'll make the story more understandable and stuff, but for now I just wanted to mess around with coding :)
Real relationships are hard, why not switch to a fake one? Your virtual boyfriend Nial is cute, sweet, and the perfect distraction that keeps you occupied for hours. But as more of your time gets taken up by the real world, and real people, Nial gets a little jealous...
I own none of the music, so here's the links! (all of these were free to use):

So when the player tells Nial that they're going on a date with Liam, he gets super pissed. Starts being condescending like mentioning how Liam is a nurse and has his shit together, and Liam must be fucking with me cuz I'm a loser blah blah blah...... meanwhile I'm LITERALLY a nurse irl LMFAOOO I STG HE GAVE ME MAJOR WHIPLASH

wait am i dumb or something or is the game "KLEIN v.0.1" on here JUST like this? it came out in 2023 (after urs) and it's very very similar. am i missing something and being dumb LOL? - or didn't read something... idk.
Omg same! also wondered cuz I played this one a long time ago then came across "KLEIN" and they were so similar so im guessing klein is inspired by this since its eerily similar

The novella "Klein" was published in 2023, and the novella "pocket lover was published in 2022. So this is just some coincidence in the plot ^W^

No, there is no actual way this is a coincidence; I played it and everything is exactly the same? I tried looking for some kind of clarification, like "Oh, I was inspried" or they asked you, but they js straight up denied it... you're better than me Bingz i'm so pissed..

for some reason im on pc but when I try opening it, it doesn't open at all like the game not the file?
The part where he started manipulating me felt like I was actually in front of him. I'm definitely going to cuddle up to my boyfriend after this. But part from my weakling feelings this was so good, 10/10

This game is really good! I enjoyed every moment of it, i don't recall if we've seen Liam's nails before, but i thought i saw them painted like Nial's on the second date! I'm not sure if this is just an easteregg or i'm onto something! haha

Bueno, este juego realmente me tomó por sorpresa. Cuando lo instalé no esperaba demasiado, y cuando lo jugué superó completamente mis expectativas :D
El ambiente pasa de ser tan acogedor a EXTREMADAMENTE sombrío en segundos, el contraste de la calidez que genera Liam y lo tétrico que puede llegar a ser Nial hacen una buena combinación para mantenerme atento a todo.
Me encariñé mucho con Liam, y cuando (spoiler) aparece prácticamente muerto en su apartamento, me sorprendió mucho.
Me encantó el juego, estaré pendiente si decides seguir con la historia :)

I had a lot of fun playing this (as someone who has amassed many fictional crushes) and this was quite the adventure! The art is beautiful, first of all, and I love how the scariness isn't outright gore fest but classy and in a way. I will have a playthrough of it up soon, I hope you enjoy it!
